Ethyl-vinyl acetate is a polymer used to create the foam in the core in padel rackets. It is a harder alternative to polyethylene.

EVA of different densities are used to create rackets with different characteristics, from softer touches to harder.

Increasingly, manufacturers are using layers of different densities of EVA in an effort to give the best of both worlds to players - the comfort of a soft core with the precision and power of a hard core.
