Performance

Joma is a Spanish apparel manufacturer focusing on tennis and padel. Their Slam model excels in comfort and robustness and can be worn all day long.

One reviewer remarked, “I used to switch off my padel shoes just outside of the court…now with the Joma Slams, I find myself putting them on to go to the market.”

Joma's padel shoes had become to be known for their weight and rigidity, in 2022 they have updated their models to bring more lightness, breathability, and flexibility.

Several players have mentioned that after wearing Jomas, they couldn’t go back to their Asics.

Joma Open Modified Herringbone Sole
The modified herringbone has medium traction

While the Slam comes in the padel-specific modified herringbone sole, the Joma Open (this model) has a light herringbone plus mini studs and a pivot ball on the interior of the forefoot and herringbone across the exterior.

This provides medium traction, so it suits new curled turf courts more than sandy traditional turf courts.

This will allow players can slide slightly in changes of direction without over-gripping, which can cause knee injuries.

Joma is the official footwear provider for the World Padel Tour.
