Head introduced the Speed series in a tennis racket line jointly developed with Novak Djokovic. This series has been launched to replace the Alpha Series.
All rackets in the series have teardrop shapes, carbon fiber + Graphite frames, silicon vibration-reducing end caps, Power FOAM cores, and smooth surfaces.
Head’s Motion models are the brand’s lightweight options. At roughly 360 grams, it weighs 10 grams less than the other Head Speed models. As a result, the Speed Motion is significantly more maneuverable and quick in the defense and in blocking fast balls at the net.
This does have the drawback of resulting in the shots coming out with slightly less power.
Medium touch, medium balance.
It otherwise has a similar construction as the Speed Pro model with the fiberglass and carbon fiber surface. Head’s cores and frames are quite rigid, so this racket is in fact more rigid than many “full carbon” frames from other brands.
Great for intermediate players seeking a versatile, agile racket.
Consider this if you've been looking at the Air Veron.
Great for beginner and intermediate players seeking a light weight versatile racket with control. Great in the defensive game.
