đź”” Note: the 2024 update to the Hack 03 Comfort only contains superficial changes.
The brother of Paquito Navarro’s Hack 03, the Bullpadel Hack 03 CMF (Comfort), is a softer, less expensive option for those seeking an easier to use diamond-shaped racket.
The 2023 version is the same as last year with a new, and widely agreed to be nicer, paint job.
The changes from the “normal” Hack 03 are the following:
1. Softer surface
2. No Custom Weight system
3. No Hesacore
Softer surface
The surface is Bullpadel’s Fibrix, which is a combination of carbon fiber and fiberglass, which our reviewers remark plays as if it were mostly fiberglass, that is, it is much softer than the carbon fiber surface of the Hack 03.
Lack of Custom Weights
The lack of Custom Weight system was surprisingly welcomed by many of our reviewers due to its increase in wrist strap comfort.
Custom Weight is Bullpadel’s system of weight and balance customization that allows the player to add and remove weights on the racket head and handle in order to customize the racket’s play.
The removal of this feature allows the wrist strap to exit the bottom of the handle from the center, which is widely viewed as a more comfortable option.
Reviewers noted that it’s easy to add an adhesive protector to increase the balance, if desired.
No Hesacore
The Hesacore grip, which is designed to absorb vibrations, is a surprisingly controversial feature, and it is easy to purchase one for about €20. So if you’d like one with this racket, use the cash you saved from purchasing this racket instead of the normal Hack and get yourself a Hesacore.
Similarities with the “normal” Hack
Its shape and core and most other features of its construction are the same as the Bullpadel Hack 03. For example, it also has the Metalshield protector, Hack heart, and air channels on the neck.
Free power vs. max power
The Hack 03 CMF’s medium touch combined with its diamond shape gives the racket at low of “free power”. That is, it is generous with its power at low speeds. Players making slight swings with the racket will launch the ball easily to the other side of the court. On the other hand, in smashes, the racket absorbs the ball slightly, resulting in less powerful smashes.
In all, it’s a very “complete racket” for a great price at €100 less than the Hack 03.
Complete racket. It suits an intermediate player seeking an aggressive racket that is comfortable and not too heavy in the hand.
Very maneuverable in the back of the court. Medium touch, which helps a lot when defending “heavy” balls. Of the diamonds that I’ve tried, it has the best behavior in the back of the court.
Same as year’s model aside from the painting. Soft, comfortable touch, high ball output. It will help you in defense. For an attacking racket, I feel very comfortable regarding time to prepare my shots in the back of the court.
