How Does the Stiga Axe 3 perform?
Stiga created the next generation of the Axe, the Axe 3 in partnership with Daniel Dios, a padel coach trainer.
Marketed as a medium-high balance versatile racket, it actually has a very low balance which gives a lot of time while in the back of the court.
You'll be able to place your chiquitas wherever you like.
Note that its balance also reduces power in smashes and leads to instability when blocking hard shots.
It has a touch slightly harder than medium, in between an AT10 12K and an AT10 18K.
The sandpaper roughness is comfortable while supporting the racket with your nondominant hand and helps you keep your volleys low.
But, in general, at the front of the court, it takes a big swing to get the balls behind the service line.
Note that we have a 15% discount with PADELFYI15 and Stiga offers a 14 day trial period.

Expert Reviews of the Stiga Axe 3
Maneuverable racket for high beginners or intermediate players seeking control and maneuverability
Low balance makes it hard to get any real power
Back of the court was easy to handle and change directions
Good control on volley and bandejas
Low, not very big nor small
Intermediate-advanced players seeking an ultra maneuverable racket
Hard to bring the ball back due to lack of weight at the head. I took me a while to adjust to the low balance, and my aerial shots at the front of the court were often shallower than I wanted.
It can not get any more maneuverable than this.
Great precision in placing drop shots and chiquitas. Rulos to the fence felt easy as I could just tap the ball into the right angle (although sometimes wound up too short). When I went to block fast bajadas on the forehand side, the lack of weight in the head pulled my forearm back more than was comfortable.
Decent-sized, centrally-located sweet spot
