What is "the fridge" in padel?

From nevera, or the refrigerator, in Spanish.

This is a controversial padel strategy where a team hits all the balls to a specific player on their opponent’s side so the the other player gets "cold."

This often results in the receiving player getting overwhelmed and the other opponent becoming frustrated. As a result, the frustrated will come to their partner's aid, opening up their side of the court.

What do to when you're being put in the fridge?

The best way to deal with the fridge is for the player who is being put in the fridge to remain at the net while their partner stays at the back of the court. This forces your opponents to play to your partner in the back of the court.
